Pet trust update: A House Bill allowing pet owners to create pet care trusts of up to $20,000 has been signed by Oklahoma’s governor.

AT STAKE: House Bill 1641 lets pet owners create trusts to pay for the care of their pets after the owners’ deaths. It limits a pet trust to $20,000. Any money left in the trust after the pet’s death would go to another person.
